Everyone knew Lauren + Matt…they were different. This was different.
“When I first met Lauren I was at a football game in highschool. I was sitting in about the 3rd or 4th row, she walked up behind a mutual friend and I was blown away by her beauty, she easily stood out to me among the rest. It was a miracle she spoke to me.” – Matt, the groom.
Yup, Lauren + Matt may have the most adorable high school sweetheart story. After their initial greeting at the football game – where Lauren did indeed chat with Matt, they got to know each other as they both were signed up for the ski/snowboard bus at their school. So they would ride the bus up to the mountain together, then go snowboarding for the afternoon. After a couple months, their friendship grew to something more and they began to date. They were building a foundation.
They continued to date into their college years and as the years went on – so grew their love. Matt said, “Back towards the end of college when I started missing her when she wasn’t there, even if only a couple of hours between seeing each other, I missed her constantly. I knew we had something special that not many other people get to experience. For that I am forever grateful. Her presence when she is with me makes me feel complete and I know we can tackle anything together. ”
And so with 9 years in the making of one strong foundation…they stepped into a new journey, a new adventure as husband and wife.
Lauren and Matt married and shared their vows in a gorgeous outdoor scene at a venue that best showcases the beauty that the PNW has to offer – DeLille Chateau. Elsa + Hannah, the team of Juliet + Lou, were an absolute dream to work with! The day ran so seamlessly! Lauren + Matt promised each other a life full of love and sealed their vows with a kiss in front a sea of friends and family who have been supporting them every step of the way and could not be more excited for this union. It truly felt like two families became one.
Lauren + Matt – thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of such a special day!! Here is a peek at the highlights!
Lauren – you are one exquisite bride!
Lauren + Matt chose to see each other before the ceremony, giving them some sweet time together alone and ample time for wedding photos!
Emily, with Columbia City Bouquet, provided such stunning florals!! I love getting to work with her at some many of my couples’ weddings!!
Salon Maison did a fabulous job – highlighting Lauren’s stunning eyes!!
I love this sweet idea! Lauren + Matt, chose a special wooden box where they would save a special bottle of wine, love letters to each other that neither has read, and their parents and grandparents wrote letters of wisdom and encouragement for them to read on a future anniversary. Such a sweet way to include their families in their legacy of marriage.
And this stunning eagle circled over head during the whole ceremony!
I LOVE when couples allow for 15 minutes in their timeline for sunset images! And I can’t get enough of these warm summer nights!
CONGRATS LAUREN + MATT!!
Special thanks to one FANTASTIC team that made the day so INCREDIBLE!!
