Meet the Faces :: Divine says “Thank You!”

Personal

Divine’s family has become a special part of my experience in Ghana, so I’m sure they will make more appearances on the blog, but I want to give you all an update on how your support has blessed this family.  (If you have not read Divine’s story, you can read it here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3).   Not only did the art that you purchased allow us to cover all the medical costs for his two little girls, who have now fully recovered from Malaria, but due to a few very generous souls – we have now found them alternative housing and have their rent covered for the next TWO YEARS! I was not expecting such an amazing outcome! Thank you!!  I truly believe God has blessed this family through many of you.  It has been a beautiful experience over the past couple weeks. I would find out the amount that rent cost for a small basic home, and the very next day would receive an email saying that someone wanted to make a monetary donation and it would be the exact amount!! I love how through technology and photography – our world is a bit smaller and closer. That just by sharing a story and sharing photographs to tell his story – friends from home in the U.S. can help this family in need in Accra, Ghana… it truly is a beautiful thing.

Divine wanted to share his personal words of thanks:

“On behalf of me and my family, I want to express that we are so grateful.  Due to the environment we live in, my family has gotten very sick, especially the little girls. So I want to thank the people who help me support and provide for my family.

Next week we move into our new home – thanks be to God! That is all because of your support and there are no words to express my gratitude!

God will always bless you.  My family and I pray for you and your safety, and from the honest heart of my family we say thank you.”

Here are a few photos of this beautiful family.

Agustin wanted an elephant stool made showing the natural rings of the wood. It’s his new favorite item in the house!

Agustin and I have been searching for the right nativity set – and we found it!

Divine made this beautiful nativity set out of redwood for us! It’s a 14 piece set and has the Ghanaian style we were wanting.

If you are interested in joining us in Divine’s artwork or in supporting this family, send me a message! Thank you again. I can’t stop smiling when I think of the way this family has been blessed by all of you who came alongside to support his family and his craft.
