They walked around campus and talked about art, movies, family and relationships. Tim and Angela were both RA’s (residential advisors) in college and had to go on nightly walks to make sure everything was fine, and it was on those walks that their relationship first blossomed. Angela knew she had never met anyone like Tim in her life. Angela didn’t really see herself as someone who would get married, but shortly after meeting Tim she realized that she wanted to be with him and only him forever. Their relationship grew and developed and during a season where they were living in separate states, Tim knew he couldn’t wait any longer to ask Angela to forever be by his side – so he flew her up to Seattle, went to a wonderful dinner and then took her on a ferry, because he knew they were her favorite – and as he held her tight looking out at the water – Tim shared his love for Angela and asked her to be his wife.
That is exactly where we decided to start our engagement session – on a ferry. I absolutely love it when clients think outside the box and really put time and thought into their location for their engagement photos. When Angela suggested taking the ferry over and exploring Deception Pass to show their love for the outdoors – I was thrilled! The weather channel predicted a rainy afternoon, but Tim and Angela were ready to go, rain or shine. Luckily – the weatherman was wrong – and we had a beautiful afternoon exploring the great outdoors and majestic views that the Pacific Northwest is known for! Angela + Tim – I am so grateful I got to spend the day learning about your beautiful story! The love you two share is immediately felt by those around you – thank you for giving me the blessing of capturing just a glimpse of your story! I cannot wait for the big day!
I love asking couples to share one of the things they love most about their fiance. They share a beautiful moment, just between them, no one else can hear the words expressed and it is a sweet reminder of what this session and these photos are all about.
