Phrank and Elizabeth’s love story differs a bit depending on who you ask…like most good love stories there is a “him” and a “her” version. In Phrank’s version, he has a distinct memory of meeting Elizabeth for the first time at Young Life camp in Minnesota when they were in high school, thinking to himself, “Wow. What a beaut. Too bad I don’t stand a chance with her.” Elizabeth doesn’t quite remember meeting in Minnesota, but does recall bumping into him at high school + Young Life functions since they attended rival high schools. Elizabeth + Phrank attended the same college but were never quite on the same page. It wasn’t until Elizabeth walked into a summer class her last year of college… only to see Phrank, and say, “Hey, aren’t you that Young Life guy?!” and grabbed a seat next to him. Throughout the year they spent time getting to know each other, but whenever Phrank hinted at his feelings for her, Elizabeth was sure to make it clear that she was not interested. After almost a year of being best friends, Phrank finally decided he would just got out on a limb and ask her out on a date. Even though Elizabeth was reluctant, she replied, “Sure. But nothing serious okay?” And here they are…planning the most amazing winter glam wedding in Vail, Colorado in February!
It was the perfect Fall day for their engagement session in Boulder, Colorado and seriously within minutes, I knew…I was going to LOVE working with them! They are joyful, energetic, authentic, have a passion for the mountains and they share a common love for God that drives their lives. Elizabeth is organized and logical. Phrank is goofy and outgoing. Phrank brings out Elizabeth’s silly side and I got to see that first hand! During the session I definitely noticed…one thing Phrank does extremely well is he makes Elizabeth laugh. They truly are an incredible team. After exploring Boulder we finished the night with dinner and drinks, celebrating their amazing love story and upcoming wedding!
