Wow! Where do I begin? Adrienne + Scott’s big Jewish wedding was a celebration I will never forget! After Adrienne + Scott braved the cold and the wet snow with smiles on their faces when we got caught in a crazy snowstorm during their engagement session – I knew that they were a special couple. After our snowy session, we went out for dinner in Denver at one of their favorite restaurants (check out Euclid Hall) to get warmed up and I loved hearing more about their story and by the end of the night it felt like I was hanging out with two old friends that I had known for years. So by time the wedding day came along, I was excited to celebrate with them, not just as their photographer doing my best to document their day, but as their friend.
Adrienne + Scott met on the online dating website called Jdate.com. Adrienne had been on the site for about a month and had some a few first dates that she describes as “complete failures.” Scott reached out to Adrienne and asked her to join him for dinner and when the day came Adrienne was feeling tired and wanted to see if she could back out of the date, but knew it was too last-minute to cancel so she reluctantly went anyway. Their “quick dinner date” turned into a 5 hour date and here we are…reflecting on their magical wedding day!
It was a gorgeous blue sky day in Denver, and thanks to the incredible Stacy of JA Special Events, the day was seamless! Adrienne and her best girlfriends, chatted and laughed as they got ready for the big day in their quirky and fun hotel room at the Curtis Hotel. As Adrienne and I walked down the streets of Denver to meet her future husband for their first look, I looked over and she was glowing. Glowing with excitement, anticipation, and full of love…she knew…that day she would marry her best friend.
The wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Mile High Station, a hip urban venue with exposed brick and industrial piping and beautiful chandeliers! I loved learning about the traditions in a Jewish ceremony and the meaning behind each tradition. Surrounded by their family and friends, Adrienne + Scott shared their vows and sealed it with a kiss! Then.. the CELEBRATION began! They kicked off the reception party with the Hora Dance (where they lift the couple up in chairs) and every person was on their feet, joining in on the dance! They shared a great meal, they danced, they laughed and celebrated the start of a new chapter as husband and wife! Congrats Adrienne + Scott! Thank you for welcoming me into your circle of friends and giving me the honor to celebrate and document such an incredible day! Here are some highlights from a wedding I’ll never forget!
Adrienne…you are stunning!!! And that GORGEOUS bouquet? Statice Floral Design did such an AMAZING job!
I want to give a special thank you to Amy & Jordan (Amy and Jordan Photography) for introducing me to Scott & Adrienne, and for trusting me to document Jordan’s best friend’s wedding day. In highschool Amy, Jordan, and Scott were like the three musketeers and it was such a pleasure to see A&J celebrate with their close friends and to enjoy being a guest at a wedding!
What better way to end the night of a perfect wedding day then belting out “Sweet Caroline” with 250 of your closest friends!
Congrats you two!!
