Mahesh and Karishma met in the most romantic possible way – in front of the portapotties at a concert at the Gorge. Okay, okay. They “re-met” at the Gorge. These two actually knew of each other in college!

Since locking eyes six years post-college, Karishma and Mahesh have made a beautiful life together. While reminiscing about some of their first dates in NYC – always ending with Halal Guy chicken and rice – Mahesh told the story of when he realized Karishma was ‘the one.’ “I knew about an hour into our first date when we held hands in the most awkward and hilarious way, with just our fingertips touching. We’ve been holding hands the more common way ever since. Can’t let go.“

As for Karishma? There wasn’t one defining moment. She always knew Mahesh was marriage material (hehe!) Although, she was totally surprised when he proposed!

Mahesh had planned a romantic getaway to Whistler and was going to propose on the hill after a long day of skiing. Of course, this didn’t go according to plan, and there was no snow. The quick thinker he is, Mahesh staged a hike to a beautiful frozen lake, but when they arrived, it was surrounded by caution tape! Cut to Mahesh ripping down the tape, marching to a snowbank to capture the moment, and getting down on one knee. “I screamed!! We were completely lost in the moment and had no idea what hand the ring was supposed to go on— all of our photos from that day show the ring on my right hand! Whoops!”

Karishma + Mahesh’s wedding was truly spectacular!! The color, the beautiful traditions, the views, the florals, but most importantly – the whole day was full of so much love!!
