There is something so incredible and magical about being at Mt Baker for sunset engagement photos. As the sun begins to dip below the jagged peaks of the North Cascades, the sky gets painted in hues of pink, orange, and gold. I love shooting North Cascades engagement sessions for so many reasons, but this is one of the best.
Dogs at your Mt Baker sunset engagement shoot
If you ask to bring your dogs, my answer will always be yes! I love incorporating your furry friends into your engagement shoot (or wedding day!). In these cases, it’s nice to be near the car where we can stow them away once they’ve had their moment (as long as it’s not too hot out), or bring a friend to hold onto the leashes as we continue shooting. We’ll also want to make sure whatever location we shoot in is appropriate for animals to be. Thankfully, I shoot a lot in nature and most of the time, if you are outside the main national parks, animals are welcome!
Epic views for your engagement shoot
Niela and Tushar wanted an epic spot for their shoot. So, of course, I suggested Mt Baker engagement photos at sunset! The perk to the area is that there are a lot of accessible and stunning locations.
There are usually two types of people that want epic views: those that want to hike for them, and those that don’t! Both are great and thanks to the PNW wonderland, we’ve got options for whatever floats your boat. Being an accessible and inclusive photographer is a huge part of my brand so if pulling off to the side of the road is your speed, I’m here for it! Let’s make magic happen!
