Eight years ago today – April 12th, 2005 – Quito, Ecuador – in a salsa dancing bar – I met my best friend and love of my life. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better friend, boyfriend, fiance, and now husband. The story is a crazy one – really it is. But I love it and wouldn’t change a thing. Our relationship and journey spans over 8 years, 5 continents, 7 countries, and 2 languages, and I can’t imagine living this wild adventure with anyone else but you. I love you Agustin!

Oh, THAT kind of salsa bar. I pictured something more quaint, with little bowls of different types of salsas and totopos. But that’s just me, I guess. Anyhow, I’m SO GLAD for both of you that you met, and persisted [perhaps Agustin more than Kelly], married, and have been so wonderful together. Many, many happy years together.

Are you familiar with Eagle-Vail? Its a neighborhood where my family lives in the Vail area.. and this was my favorite hike. It’s beautiful isn’t it??

I couldn’t stop smiling when I saw this post. My husband and I met Salsa dancing on June 1st of 2002. He walked in a room full of latin females as the tall american boy asked my friend if he could have her permission to dance with me and busted his sweet moves all night. He would ask me a question, spin me out and I would answer when I was wrapped back in his arms. We were married 3 years later and now married for 8 years. Congrats you too your just adorable. Oh and we lived in the Vail area for a while so I loved spotting that photo in your collage.
Haha yes – trying to talk while salsa dancing is quite a fun challenge! What a small world, you lived in the Vail area? What part? That is my home base – I’m currently in Ghana, Africa but when I come home for weddings this summer I’ll be back in Colorado. Where are you? And congrats to 8 years of marriage!
