Caitlin + Jason’s Washington Park Arboretum Engagement Session : Seattle Wedding Photographer Kelly Lemon

People and Portraits

When I met Caitlin + Jason at Madison Park for their session within minutes I knew they truly are the perfect match and are meant to be together.   The story goes that they met years ago through Caitlin’s cousin and really hit it off – Caitlin could just not stop laughing around this guy! They both left the night a bit giddy and excited to see where this might lead…but then there was silence.  The story is told two ways at this point, but Jason says he wrote her and never heard back and Caitlin says she never got that message – so they didn’t see each other for years – always wondering what had happened to that amazing person.  A few years later Jason learned that Caitlin had moved back to Seattle, so he took a chance, hoping she would remember that night years ago, and asked her out on a date.  Caitlin gladly accepted the request, and while sipping wine out of paper cups at Madison Beach on their first date …Caitlin knew that Jason would forever be by her side.  She was right.  So what better place to start  their engagement session then at Madison Park where their story truly began.  Seattle gave us a beautiful sunny day and I loved seeing Jason make Caitlin laugh and put her at ease. We spent some time at Madison Park and then made our way to Washington Park Arboretum.  Caitlin + Jason will be tying in knot in style at the Four Seasons in downtown Seattle, so they wanted a beautiful natural backdrop for their engagement session and the arboretum was the perfect spot.  It was my first time there and I was thrilled – I have a beautiful couple that is so in love and a gorgeous park plus great sunny weather…all the things to make a magical engagement session. Enjoy a few images from our time together. Caitlin + Jason – I am so excited to be a part of your story and to document the day you marry your best friend this September!
