Her Response: Summer of 2007
How did you meet?
Her Answer: The first time we actually hung out was when we went miniature golfing with friends. He kept hitting my golf ball to try to get me to talk to him (I’m a rather shy/quiet person). We had run into each other a few times before then, but never really interacted.
What do you both do for a living?
Her Answer: He is a mason, installs pools and teaches economics at a local college part time. I am a social worker with the area agency on aging.
What is your favorite memory when you first started dating?
Her Answer: The first time he told me he loves me… It was our first vacation together and while at Sunday mass with my family and he took my hand and spelled out the words I love you.
How did he/she propose? What was his/her reaction?
Her Response: He asked me to marry him right before going to dinner with my family. It was nice because we were able to celebrate both my birthday and our engagement.
Tell me three things about your fiance?
Her Answer: Royce is one of the hardest working people I know. He has such a strong love and respect for his close family and friends and he is a bit of a nerd.
Tell me 5 places you have been together
Her Answer: We have driven down the coast from Seattle, Washington to San Diego, California. One of our favorite places to go for a weekend getaway is the Adirondack Mountains in New York (we are working on becoming ‘46ers’). We have a lot of great memories in the Finger Lakes region of New York. We’ve driven from Denver, Colorado through Utah and Wyoming, hitting most of the national parks along the way. Maine, Death Valley, riding horses through Sequoia National Park.. we have had so many amazing adventures together!
