Katy + Chase are high school sweethearts.
In their junior year of high school, some friends invited Katy and Chase to a Haunted House. After meeting once before and thinking he was pretty cute, Katy said “I call Chase!” So Chase and Katy walked through the Haunted House together, and Chase made sure Katy didn’t get too spooked and held her close when she was. And he has been holding her close ever since.
Chase is a youth treatment counselor and his playful spirit is contagious! It seems like his life mission is to make Katy laugh and dang, he does it well. In my “Get to Know You” survey I ask about the proposal and Katy’s words were hilarious and unexpected, “He slayed a dragon, and I said YES!” Chase planned out a medieval scene where he slayed a “dragon” to save the beauty in distress and eventually got down on one knee and asked Katy to be his love, his wife.
The wedding day was a high energy celebration with some of the craziest dance moves I have seen all summer! If you saw their engagement session you wouldn’t expect anything less! Their love is so vibrant! And yes…check out the reception photos – Chase pulled off wearing a kilt so well! Katy + Chase, thank you for inviting me to share in the amazing celebration! I have had such a blast documenting your day and gaining two friends that are two of the sweetest and caring people I know!
